Competitive Teams

Rowlett Dance Academy has competitive dance teams that compete in many dance styles including jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, and contemporary.  It is a great opportunity for your very-driven, committed dancer to experience the world of competition.

The first step to becoming a successful team dancer is making a solid commitment to all of your classes, rehearsals, and performances. Strong technique is a key ingredient and class is where you develop that technique.

Once you have been accepted into the Competitive Dancer Program, it is important to live up to the responsibilities given to you as a team member.  It is a privilege to represent the studio as a Team Member.

By audition only, this team will compete at multiple competitions and attend at least one dance convention a year. This team requires a time and financial commitment. At competitions and conventions our team members regularly receive dance scholarships and top awards.

Those that make the team must take the Competitive Team Camp.   See information about the competitive team camp on our Summer Schedule.
